Dissection Lab

Suit up with gloves and goggles for a dissection lab! During this on-campus field trip program, students will work in small groups to dissect the specimen listed below. Throughout the program they will learn about the species' anatomy and structural adaptations that help them thrive in their natural environment. Dissections are offered for grades 3-6 only. *Minimum of 100 students required to book this program.

3rd Grade: squid dissection
4th Grade: fish dissection
5th Grade: sheep eye dissection
6th Grade: frog dissection

ANIMAL PRESENTATION

Get up close with our remarkable reptile collection to learn about their unique adaptations, defense mechanisms, and get to carefully touch and/or hold the animals.

STEM WORKSHOP

Working in small groups, students will participate in a grade level specific activity that furthers their understanding of the animals they’ve seen and touched.

THE CRITTER BUS

Step onto the Critter Bus to be transported to a world-class zoo housing snakes, lizards, frogs, and more! Get a close look at the animals while learning from the two on-board instructors.
