Build Your Own On-Campus Field Trip!
Mix and match our 4 program offerings listed below to build the on-campus field trip that best suits your budget and educational needs. Or do the full program for 2 hours of educational fun for just $30 per student! Each program is 30 minutes and designed to match the Arizona State Standards and curriculum guidelines for each grade. One class per program can be booked per time slot. A minimum of 100 students is required to book any program.
THE CRITTER BUS
Step onto the Critter Bus to be transported to a world-class zoo housing snakes, lizards, frogs, and more! Students will get a close look at the animals while learning from the two on-board instructors.
ANIMAL PRESENTATION
Get up close with our remarkable reptile collection to learn about their unique adaptations, defense mechanisms, and natural environment. Students will get the opportunity to carefully touch and/or hold the animals.
STEM WORKSHOP
Working in small groups, students will participate in a grade level specific activity that furthers their understanding of the animals they’ve seen and touched.
DISSECTION LAB
Suit up with gloves and goggles for a dissection lab! Students will work in small groups to dissect the specimen listed below, learning about the anatomy and structural adaptations.
